Mom woke me up around the crack of noon to tell me my cousins were coming over in ten minutes. I tried to muster up the energy to get out of bed and failed, so I went back to sleep until I heard my cousin Sara open my door (It seems we always burst into each other's rooms while the other is sleeping when we go to each other's house). She'd brought a new Nancy Drew game with her (Danger by Design if you wanted to know specifics). Before we could install it on my laptop though we were called down for brunch. Turns out Brandon's girlfriend was over too.
Over grits, scrambled eggs, cinnamon rolls, biscuts, drigger sausage, and hot chocolate, we talked about Brandon's upcoming trip down to Flordia next week. It was this opportunity for him to get flight hours, and hey, it's cold up here, so he and some other kids from his class are heading down. He made the mistake of asking his girlfriend, Amber, if she was busy next week (to see if she could stow away in his luggage). She reminded him bitterly that she has school everyday next week.
Amber and Brandon have been dating for a little over a year now. She's my age and is in my choir, that's the only class we have together though, since she's a smarty-pants who takes all AP classes.
So, Sara and I played Nancy Drew until she had to go home, which was fun I suppose, except I was really distracted, who knows why.
So school starts Monday and I still have to finish reading Hamlet and write a paper on how the movie Slumdog Millionare used the caste and fate concept from Hinduism for World Religions. I wish I could procrastinate on procrastinating, well I guess we'll see if this improves in the next year or not.
