So no, I still haven't done my homework yet, yes it's due tomorrow, no I'm not worried. This is the horrible thing about this bad habit is, it works. Knowing that it works leaves me feeling able to keep on doing it, knowing the only consequences are that I'm going to be tired the next day.
So I went to church and tried to convince my friend, Elbera, who's a composer, if she would be my accompanist for my audition for a music scholarship. She seemed hesitant but said if I could get her a copy of the music she'd see if she could manage. I assume she's simply underestimating her skill, which she seems to do a lot, or if she really isn't that great an accompanist (I'm guessing the former).
After the sermon I was talking with two friends from my small group, Hedi and Jonesy, when our leaders from last year came up to talk to us.
When asked what was going on with us, Hedi points to me and says, "Hannah has a boyfriend."
To which I stared at her for a moment before saying, "I have a what now?"
It then took probably longer than it should have to explain that Hedi had meant Jonesy, and that I was still happily single.
For the record I'm saying Jonsey's boyfriend has awesome hair.
So I got home and was about to read Hamlet, but promptly fell asleep instead, and I've been battling the sleepiness ever since.
Side note: Last night I finished the book How to Steal a Car and it was very good. The male author wound up with the typical guy trying to sound like a girl voice, but it was still really funny. So read it, and no, it doesn't really teach you how to steal a car.
